Puzzly is a to-do app where finishing each day’s tasks earns a piece of a monthly puzzle, shared with friends. This policy explains what we collect, why, who can see it, and the choices you have. In short: we collect only what the app needs to work, we don’t show ads, and we don’t sell or rent your information.
Puzzly (joinpuzzly.app) is run by Jayden Bang (“we”, “us”). We decide how your information is used. You can reach us about privacy at hello@joinpuzzly.app.
Your account. Your email address and password. Passwords are stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider; we can’t read them.
Your profile. Your username, display name, time zone (detected from your browser, used to work out when your day starts and ends), and a profile picture if you add one.
What you create. Your tasks (titles, memos, dates, and whether they’re done or moved), your lists and their colors, your routines, your monthly puzzle choices, lucky boxes and the designs you collect, and which artwork you’ve unlocked or selected.
Social activity. Your friends and friend requests, the stickers you send and receive, and notifications about this activity.
Technical information. When you use the app, our hosting and database providers record standard request logs, such as IP address, browser type, and time. These are used for security, to limit abuse (for example, too many sign-in attempts), and to fix problems.
We don’t collect your contacts, location, or anything from other apps, and we don’t use analytics or advertising trackers.
We don’t use your information for advertising, and we don’t sell it.
Puzzly is social by design. Here’s exactly what is visible, and to whom:
You can remove a friend at any time on the Social tab, after which they can no longer see your tasks.
We use a small number of providers to run Puzzly. They process your information only on our behalf and under their own security and privacy commitments:
We don’t share your information with anyone else unless the law requires us to.
We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
We keep your information for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account, your profile, tasks, lists, routines, puzzles, designs, friendships, stickers, notifications and profile picture are deleted right away. Copies may remain in our provider’s encrypted backups and security logs for a limited time before they’re overwritten. We keep information longer only where the law requires it.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as South Korea’s Personal Information Protection Act or the EU GDPR, including the right to complain to your data protection authority. We’ll respond to requests within the time the law requires.
Your information is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Database rules limit who can read each piece of data: only you, and the friends described above. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you, as the law requires, if a breach affects you.
Puzzly isn’t intended for children under 14. If you believe a child under 14 has created an account, contact us and we’ll delete it.
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we’ll let you know in the app before they take effect.
Questions or requests about your privacy: hello@joinpuzzly.app. Our privacy contact is Jayden Bang.
